Three chaperones and a driver were also on board with the children when the bus overturned on I-95 in Havre de Grace, according to Maryland State Police (MSP). "We're glad to see that everyone is OK", Harford Memorial Hospital emergency physician Dr. Steven Fountain told WBAL.

Preliminary information indicates SB passenger vehicle attempted to pass bus, lost control, came back across lanes, clipping front of bus, according to Maryland State Police.

All 30 bus passengers were taken to area hospitals for medical evaluation, including 26 students, two teachers, the driver and a chaperon. On the other buses were police cadets who helped first responders get patients off the bus and get help, according to fire officials.

One child was flown to Nemours duPont Hospital in DE and a woman was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma center in Baltimore. He said numerous patients suffered muscle strains and contusions. Once the investigation is finished, troopers said in a statement, the state's attorney will review it and determine if charges will be filed.

15 sharks filmed circling paddle-boarders in California
The sharks were more spread out, and much fewer than the 15 or so spotted within a half-mile of each other the previous day. Warmer waters bring out greater numbers of people, too, and they tend to go for longer swims, researchers say .

A later report said the students were from the C.W. Henry School in West Mount Airy.

Multiple media outlets are reporting the bus was operated by Werner Coach out of Phoenixville. The Pennsylvania-based bus company operates charters throughout the region.

At least 25 people were injured following an accident involving an overturned charter bus on southbound I-95 in Harford County.

The Maryland Transportation Department said on Twitter that the accident shut down much of Interstate 95 for hours, causing a six-mile traffic backup in the southbound lanes.
