After failing to complete a move to Barcelona in the transfer window, the Brazilian was back in action from the bench during Liverpool's 2-2 Champions League draw with Sevilla at Anfield on Wednesday.

The Senegalese forward is beginning a three-match ban after being sent off against Manchester City last Saturday, ruling him out of this weekend's match as well as the upcoming league and Carabao Cup games against Leicester City.

"We recovered from a bad first half, knowing that we could turn it around". Probably not. But I don't think I had any influence on the decision of the ref.

Roy Keane has hit out at Liverpool following their 2-2 draw with Sevilla in their first Champions League game of the season, claiming that Europe's elite clubs will be laughing at them.

This was not the result Liverpool had been hoping for on their return to the UEFA Champions League group stage, but there were plenty of positives from the hosts' perspective. But more shoddy finishing let them down, and as Sevilla came back into the match, Anfield grew more nervous.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp does not believe that the solution to his side's defensive problems lies in signing a world-class defenders.

Between that goal and half time, Liverpool continually attacked Sevilla's goal and were rewarded with twice - one brilliantly created goal for Firmino and a lucky strike for Mohamed Salah.

"We have young keepers at the best age and they are all ready to play".

"Roberto (Firmino) has already played left wing, Phil has played there and Alex (Oxlade-Chamberlain) can play there".

"We knew before the game they are a really tough opponent, a clever team, but it's still really disappointing".

"That's something I have to consider when I think about the lineup, we need freshness in mind and in legs".

Philippe Coutinho is in contention to make his first start of the season against Burnley on Saturday, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed.

If Liverpool get on a roll when attacking at home, not many can stop them and I can see that happening in this one.
