Treyarch, developers of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 announced their battle royale mode, named Blackout, back at the game's reveal event in May.

As expected, EA's E3 2018 briefing delivered some more news about Battlefield V, the much-anticipated World War II shooter from developer DICE. "We'll bring you an experience that you haven't played before - in 'Battlefield, ' or anywhere else".

It was reiterated that Battlefield V will not include a premium pass program that the previous installments offered, and its release date is set for October 19, 2018.

US Pauses New North Korea Sanctions
According to reporting from NPR's Elise Hu , the Saturday meeting between the leaders of the two Koreas happened on Kim's request. North Korea also demanded the United States stop military exercises with South Korea, the North's Rodong Sinmun newspaper said.

It was DICE's Oskar Gabrielson and Lars Gustavsson who made the announcement along with a brand new trailer for the game.

Right now, we're not so sure what to expect, so as we learn more about the mode we'll make sure we update you on this page as well to keep you abreast of what options you may have. According to developer Treyarch, the mode will feature maps from the series, and will be 1,500 times larger than the Nuketown map, in particular.

Previously, EA teased the presence of a battle royale mode in Battlefield V. The jury's still out on that. In the case of "Battlefield V", it's not clear how large the mode is or how it will work.
