Jose Mourinho 'demands more cash from Manchester United chiefs'

May JohnsonJul 24, 2018

United have made Maguire their first-choice transfer target as they look to strengthen their defence, but time is against them and Leicester do not want to lose another one of their key players after selling Riyad Mahrez to Manchester City earlier this month.

The Daily Mail claims that Jose Mourinho is interested in the Leicester City defender, however, any move for the Englishman can only take place once United sell one of their defenders.

Do the Foxes have the finances?

Maguire impressed for England at the World Cup this summer.

The report further added that the Foxes are already plotting to increase Maguire's wages to around £75,000 with a move to pin him down for another campaign in the English topflight as they are tired he is likely to move elsewhere.

Belgium overpower exhausted England to secure third place
Petersburg, surpassing the country's previous best fourth-place finish in 1986. Belgium beat England 2-0 in the third-place playoff on Saturday at St.

Yerry Mina and Gary Cahill are two players the Leicester manager could move for as Maguire's value has skyrocketed after the World Cup.

The Sunday Mirror says that United are "ready to trigger Anthony Martial's contract extension clause" in order to keep him at Old Trafford until 2020.

Maguire continued to forge a reputation as one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League last season and he carried that form in to the World Cup as he was one of England's star performers en route to their semi-final appearance in Russian Federation.

Leicester will hope to fend off United's interest until then with the transfer window closing on August 9.

The 22-year-old has the pace to burn and could fit into the team really well but it seems unlikely any club would be willing to stump up the €100million that United are looking for the player.
