Trump warns Iran's President Rouhani: 'NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN'

April FrancisJul 26, 2018

"This is a president wants to work with other world leaders".

Trump called for Rouhani to stop the rhetoric or "suffer the consequences the like of which few throughout history have ever suffered before".

"The United States condemns the oppression levied on the Iranian people by those who rule unjustly", he said.

Since taking office, President Donald Trump has developed a reputation for firing off heated tweets that seem to escalate disputes with world leaders at odds with the U.S. She added that Trump has been "very clear about what he's not going to allow to take place".

Pompeo later tweeted that the government in Tehran and the Revolutionary Guards - the regime's elite armed body - had "plundered the country's wealth" in proxy wars "while Iranian families struggle". And Iranians have heard them - albeit more civilized ones - for 40 yrs.

Wazne, the director of American Strategic Studies institute in Beirut, warned that "it needs just one mistake to have a major regional war".

United States ally Israel, another of Iran's arch-foes, has pursued a similar strategy after having been presented with intelligence revealing greater rifts between Iranian moderates and hardliners.

In June, the citizens expressed anger at the Iranian regime's intervention in foreign conflicts throughout the Middle East in which money has been funneled towards the backing of terrorist groups.

Rouhani also said that a peace with Tehran is like "the mother of all peace".

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu opens the weekly cabinet meeting at his Jerusalem office on Monday, July 23, 2018.

The tweet in all-caps followed an apparent warning by Rouhani, in which he asked the US President to "not play with the lion's tail, because you will regret it eternally".

Trump tweeted: "NEVER EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKE OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE".

S. out of the global deal meant to prevent Tehran from developing a nuclear weapon and ordered increased American sanctions.

Prominent Iranian political analyst Seed Leilaz downplayed the war of words, saying it was in his opinion "the storm before the calm".

Seed Leilaz told The Associated Press on Monday that he isn't "worried about the remarks and tweets", which he described as propaganda. He said the Iranian leadership resembles "the Mafia more than a government" and vowed to prevent Iran from exporting its oil to other countries.

In the case of North Korea, the public war of words cooled quickly and gradually led to the high profile summit and denuclearisation talks.

Leilaz says Trump and Kim got "closer" despite their previous warring words.

In an apparent slap-back at President Donald Trump, Democrats on the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Monday tweeted an-all caps post slamming the president for siding with Russian Federation on election hacking over US intelligence officials.

"America should know that peace with Iran is the mother of all peace, and war with Iran is the mother of all wars", Rouhani said, Reuters reported, citing state news agency IRNA.

Rouhani's comments came during a speech delivered in front of diplomats in the Iranian capital.

Iran's economy and currency has tanked since Trump withdrew Washington from the 2015 Iranian nuclear agreement.

Asked at the White House if he had concerns about provoking Iran, Trump said simply, "None at all".

"The US seeks the return of the situation and their status before the (1979 Islamic) revolution in Iran", said Khamenei.
