Online blueprints of 3-D guns blocked by Washington Judge

"The age of the downloadable gun formally begins", the website states. "He granted that relief", Ferguson said at a news conference after the hearing.

On Monday, eight states filed a federal lawsuit to block the deal with Defense Distributed.

A judge issued a temporary restraining order against the distribution of materials to make guns using 3-D printers.

Starting August 1, it will be legal to download the 3D-gun blueprints.

"Once you flood our world with this issue, we won't be able to undo it", Penzone told KTAR News 92.3 FM's Bruce St. James and Pamela Hughes on Tuesday.

Senator Richard Blumenthal of CT, also a Democrat, went further, saying that if Trump does not block the open printing of 3-D guns, "Blood is going to be on his hands".

The injunction comes a day before it was set to become legal for 3D printable gun designs to be distributed online.

The Free Beacon is awaiting comment from the NRA on the president's tweet.

The single-shot pistol was made nearly entirely out of ABS plastic - the same material Lego bricks are made from - and could be made on a 3-D printer.

Josh Blackman, a lawyer representing the company behind the 3D-printed gun, said Wednesday that Defense Distributed may appeal the restraining order.

Wilson's company, Defense Distributed in Texas, planned to publish the digital blueprints for people to make their own firearms, including an AR-15 style rifle.

Louis Post-Dispatch, passengers did not always know he was live-streaming their journey from a camera mounted on the windscreen. Nearly all have been streamed to his channel on the live video website Twitch , where he goes by the username "JustSmurf".

The president seemed to express surprise.

"It just defies common sense and yet this is what the Trump administration has done", said Nelson, who is the lead sponsor of legislation to prohibit blueprints from being posted online. They (Democratic attorneys general) figure if they blame Trump for everything, they can get a win.

The poll also showed bipartisan agreement on the issue, with 86 percent of Democrats saying the practice should be illegal, and 74 percent of Republicans stating it should be illegal.

He added that the administration "will continue to look at all options available to us to do what is necessary to protect Americans while also supporting the First and Second amendments".

The 3D printed technology provides a way to create untraceable guns without serial numbers and without the owner needing a background check, things gun control advocates say are unsafe. Federal law passed in 1988, crafted with the NRA's support, makes it unlawful to manufacture, import, sell, ship, deliver, possess, transfer, or receive an undetectable firearm.

"In addition to helping arm terrorists and transnational criminals, the settlement and proposed rules would provide another path to gun ownership for people who are prohibited by federal and state law from possessing firearms".

District Judge Robert Lasnik in Seattle sided with states that sued to halt the publication of designs to make weapons that security screening may not detect.

Sen. Bob Menendez joined other Democrats in Congress Tuesday to announce the "3D Printing Safety Act" to prevent anyone from posting the blueprints online.

"Some of these weapons may even be undetectable by magnetometers in places like airports and government buildings and untraceable by law enforcement", the letter said. Trump said Tuesday that he's "looking into" the idea, saying making 3-D plastic guns available to the public "doesn't seem to make much sense!".

Unlike traditional firearms that can fire thousands of rounds in a lifetime, the 3D-printed guns normally last only a few rounds before they fall apart, experts say.
