Chris Wallace: Trump to blame for Mueller probe

April FrancisSep 03, 2018

President Donald Trump said Attorney General Jeff Sessions' job is safe at least until the midterm elections in November.

In his interview with Dickerson, Graham said the problems between the president and Sessions "go well beyond" Sessions' recusal from special counsel Robert Mueller's Russian Federation probe, and the president "needs a Cabinet he's confident in".

Trump has spent more than a year airing his frustration over Sessions deciding to distance himself from the investigation into alleged Russian interference in the last presidential election because of Sessions' own contacts with Moscow.

President Donald Trump has publicly and privately groused about Jeff Sessions' recusal causing so many problems for him.

"[He] never took control of the Justice Department and it's a sort of an incredible thing", Trump continued. It said the president declined to comment when asked whether he would keep Mr Sessions in office beyond November.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said Tuesday that the relationship between Trump and Sessions is "beyond repair" and that the issues are "deeper" than the attorney general's recusal. And according to President Trump's Twitter feed, he's very upset with Sessions.

Rockets send Ryan Anderson to Suns for Brandon Knight and Chriss
Anderson's scoring average dipped to 9.3 points per game last season, his lowest since 2008-09, his second year in the league. Chriss was the eighth overall pick out of Washington two years ago who has not progressed the way the Suns had hoped.

He believes Sessions "is preventing Trump from making a serious political mistake by trying to fire Mueller" rather than letting the special counsel investigation run its course.

Meanwhile, Trump's lawyers had previously warned a dismissal of Sessions would help special counsel Robert Mueller in his investigation of any potential obstruction of justice involving Trump. Meanwhile, 61 percent believe that Trump committed a crime if he told Cohen to pay off the women, compared to 31 percent who say Trump did not commit a crime.

"I view it differently". Despite his repeated public criticism, Trump has told people he is wary of crossing a line with Mueller by firing Sessions.

McConnell was unequivocal in his weekly news conference when he said Sessions should stay in his role - and he had an audience of one, aides say: Trump.

Asked about Flood on Wednesday, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said: "People like him".

[Sessions is] not the only man in the country that can be attorney general. "And I think that sort of blindsided the president". Republicans know Trump has soured on him, but it's the policy disputes that are the driving force behind senators cooling on their defense of their former colleague.
