Twitter permanently bans Alex Jones and InfoWars

The social media company tweeted out the decision from its Twitter Safety account Thursday afternoon, stating that it permanently suspended Alex Jones and InfoWars after both accounts posted tweets and videos that violated the company's abusive-behavior policy.

"The ban appears to be related to a heated exchange between Jones and a CNN reporter Wednesday, which Jones live streamed on the Twitter-owned video service Periscope", CNBC reported.

The ban occurred a day after Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey testified to lawmakers about his company's practices for moderating content online.

Before that hearing, Jones spotted a reporter waiting in the hall outside the meeting room, and Jones proceeded to berate the journalist, who has covered Jones' website and his suspensions from social media.

In August, Twitter said Jones had violated its rules at least seven times, but it stopped short of banning him outright from the platform. This was apparently little comfort to Jones, who attempted to confront Dorsey and Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg during a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing on data privacy in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday.

Lukaku double relieves pressure on Mourinho
Pochettino was critical of his players' failure to hold on to the lead given to them by Abdoulaye Doucoure's 53rd-minute own goal. League victor under the Portuguese at Chelsea , has not seen any difference in Mourinho's persona this season.

Jones and InfoWars are notorious for spreading conspiracy theories and other demonstrably false information, including the idea that the Sandy Hook massacre was a hoax, and that the victims of it were child actors. "I'm asking you not to touch me again", Rubio said.

Darcy claimed that none of those statements by Jones were true. Of course, this also comes after Jones crashed Dorsey's visit to Congress, accusing him and other tech leaders of being biased against conservatives.

He continues by saying Darcy 'smiles like a possum that crawled out of the rear end of a dead cow'. That's what you look like.

But a week later Twitter joined the other tech companies in muzzling Jones, even if it was only for a week. I still find the man's actions and dedication to making sure that Twitter is a "public square" where anyone can speak to be a bit shortsighted, as too often those defending themselves from harassment get banned while their harassers go free.

Jones is now active on Facebook; his personal suspension there recently expired.
