Chicago Bears: 3 surprises in loss to Green Bay Packers

May JohnsonSep 11, 2018

Aaron Rodgers exits the field Sunday night after a remarkable win over the Chicago Bears. He'd soon toss for 12-yards to Davante Adams to get the game to 20-17 before pushing past the Bears with a 75-yard touchdown pass to Randall Cobb.

After the game, Rodgers said his knee was swollen. Now, he had to answer on behalf of his team after its gut-wrenching 24-23 loss to the Packers on Sunday night.

So you go ahead and sign up Khalil Mack, fucking Superman and maybe Batman. On the following drive, Mack got on the board for the first time as a Bear as he intercepted Kizer, who was under heavy pressure from Robertson-Harris, and returned it 27 yards for the touchdown to make it 17-0.

In addition to the forced fumble, Perry had 5 total tackles on the night, 4 of which were solo, and one sack. But having to settle for field goals on three of four red-zone possessions ultimately cost them the opportunity to put the game away.

Aaron Rodgers was carted into the locker room in the first half with what looked like a knee injury.

"It was painful", Rodgers told Packers.com, and he'll undergo more tests on Monday.

One dead, 25 injured and more feared trapped
One man died from head injuries in the collapse and another 21 people were taken to hospital, some in critical condition. Traffic from various parts of South 24 Parganas and Behala area in the city were being diverted from Diamond Park area.

"I felt like once I got back out there, when the adrenaline was going, it loosened up a little bit", Rodgers said. A stout defense that relies on pass rush and experience.

The Bears knew it was coming, and yet had no answers. And from the Green Bay Packers' incredible comeback, the team can learn a lot. "We've seen it before".

"They were trying to get Mack on the field obviously as many plays as possible, which we figured".

The Bears secondary played well most of the night but breakdowns in the second half doomed them.

But the careful intentions of defensive coordinator Vic Fangio were thrown out when Mack came out looking dominant. Rodgers wasn't sacked in the second half, and he was barely pressured, either, thanks to the get-it-out-quick gameplan. "I wanted to come back and make an impact".

The game's highest-paid player trumped its highest-paid defender. There was three separate times late in the game that the Bears had a third down with just a few yards to go, but instead of choosing to run, tried to pass.
