Chinese ambassador to United States says Beijing doesn't know who to deal with

April FrancisOct 18, 2018

US President Donald Trump, in an interview with CBS's Lesley Stahl on Sunday night, said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is "probably" involved in assassinations and poisonings, but "it's not in our country", reported CNN.

Trump said this in an interview given to CBS News's 60 Minutes programme.

China's top U.S. envoy said a meeting between presidents Xi Jinping and Donald Trump on the sidelines of next month's G20 summit would play a "key, irreplaceable role" in easing tensions.

Asked if the USA and China were on the brink of a "cold war", Kudlow told Fox he had been "very involved in the trade talks with China".

News veteran Stahl tried to pin Trump down with a pledge not to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is in the second year of an investigation into alleged collusion between Trump's 2016 presidential campaign and Russian Federation.

"I think China meddled also".

His comments come amid rising political and economic tensions between the world's two largest economies, and as worldwide bodies and other countries warned that global growth will suffer if the dispute isn't resolved.

He said that he is looking forward to the upcoming meeting between Trump and Jinping scheduled for next month. U.S. also joined them in slapping sanctions. China would love to make a deal.

A long line of Russian dissidents, journalists and others critical of Mr Putin have been poisoned or died under mysterious circumstances. "We have people, Democrats, who behaved horribly during the Judge Kavanaugh - you - know what I'm saying - during the hearings for the Supreme Court, we had senators that behaved horribly", Trump said without skipping a beat.Stahl pointed out the contradiction. Trump refused to do so, telling her: "I don't pledge anything". Ford was "treated with great respect" including by him, Trump said.

Mattis has denied making disparaging comments about Trump, and the president said last month that the retired general was "doing a fantastic job".

"There have to be consequences. for coming into our country illegally", he said, arguing that "part of the reason, I have to blame myself, the economy is so strong that everybody wants to come into the United States". "Probably. But I rely on them".

In his interview, Chinese ambassador Cui admitted he was "confused" as to who in the United States administration had the president's ear on trade issues. "I know these things". He may leave. I mean, at some point, everybody leaves. I don't know that that's necessarily going to continue. I have a good energy with him.

"Many people thought it made him look better because he did answer everything correctly", she claimed, albeit falsely.

The President was evasive when asked whether defense secretary James Mattis would be leaving his post at the Pentagon. "Let's heal all of this, ' you come out and bash the Democrats", Stahl told Trump.Trump noted that he specifically bashed Democrats" attitude and statements.

"Mr. President, you've been president for two years", said Colbert.

Putin has expressed disdain for Sergei Skripal, the former Russian military intelligence officer who, along with his daughter, Yulia, was poisoned with the nerve agent Novichok on March 4, 2018 in Salisbury, England.
