Mario Kart Tour Has Been Delayed by Nintendo to Summer 2019

Mario Kart Tour was supposed to be made available on smartphones in March of 2019, but it has now been announced that the release date has been pushed back a bit. Explaining the delay, Nintendo said it wanted to "improve [the] quality of the application and expand the content offerings after launch", and hence needed more development time. "The app will now launch in Summer 2019".

Nintendo once stood adamantly against mobile games, but these days the company is no stranger to releasing mobile spin-offs of its most popular and profitable franchises.

Mario Kart Tour, which Nintendo announced nearly exactly a year ago, has been pushed back.

However, just like a blue shell that decimates you unexpectedly, mere feet away from the finish line, Nintendo has delayed the release of Mario Kart Tour til the summer.

Callum Hudson-Odoi to respond to latest Chelsea FC contract offer
According to German news outlet Bild , Liverpool have already met Bradley, who happens to be Hudson-Odoi's agent. Considering the precocious talent that Hudson-Odoi is, he would be a top long-term addition to the club.

The bad news, for gamers who can't wait to play Mario Kart on a mobile device, came through Nintendo's quarterly earnings report.

While covering the second quarter of Nintendo's financial year, I wrote a section on how this quarter, the third one, would reverse the downturn in software sales and resulting missing of estimates. If you're having trouble remembering Mario Kart Tour, it may be because Nintendo has only shown a logo when the title was first unveiled.

For starters, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has become the best-selling Switch game, at 15.02 million units sold. It'll also be interesting to see which model Nintendo will adopt for the game and if users around the world will be able to get used to it as they did with Fire Emblem Heroes.
