President Donald Trump invites to speak in the podium to Hayden Williams, a field representative of the Leadership Institute, who was assaulted at Berkeley campus speaks at Conservative Political Action Conference, CPAC 2019, in Oxon Hill, Md., Saturday, March 2, 2019.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointed Mueller to lead the special counsel investigation back in May 2017.

Trump also touched upon the campus free speech controversy by mentioning Hayden Williams, a conservative activist who claims he was punched in the face at the University of California Berkeley last week, according to CNN.

President Trump spoke Saturday at CPAC and blasted the Green New Deal, a comprehensive environmentalist plan forwarded by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Sen.

On the foreign front, Trump repeated his claim that the last Islamic State group fighters in Syria would be captured or killed imminently - "as of tomorrow" - after on Thursday telling USA troops "we just took over" 100 percent of the caliphate. That was the month Trump Jr., the president's eldest child, and others met with Russians dangling the prospect of dirt on Hillary Clinton.

Trump says his unnamed non-friend "chokes" whenever he has to make a speech to nine or more people, because of a fear of public speaking, even though "he kills people for a living, meaning mentally and financially".

"I saw little shifty Schiff yesterday".

"All of the sudden, they're trying to take you out with bulls**t", Trump said. Cohen told the House Oversight and Reform Committee that Trump Organization employees regularly lied for Trump.

Trump said earlier in the week that both sides will now continue to work together.

Trump did not provide any details about the new executive order.

Few targets were spared in Trump's wide-ranging speech, which included jabs at various unnamed Republican senators - "Where do these people come from?" - his potential Democratic challengers in 2020, and a swipe at Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell.

Conservatives have said some U.S. universities stifle right-wing opinions.

Trump also addressed his nuclear disarmament summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Vietnam, which ended abruptly this week without an agreement or a joint-statement.

Mr. Trump alluded to his belief that Democrats leveraged people within the Justice Department to skirt the law in probing his campaign. "Violently punched. And I said, 'that's disgusting, '" Trump said. "And it's a very, very delicate balance", Trump said.
